Following our Yoga teacher competency plan supports you in becoming a great teacher. This weekend focusses on Yoga Instructor professionalism. Students review the different approaches, techniques, philosophies, and methods of teaching yoga.  We explore the student-teacher relationship, maintaining competency, staying within “Scope of Practice”. Students learn to avoid words and actions that constitute sexual harassment and to respect the rights, dignity and privacy of all students. We cover professional ethics involved in becoming a yoga teacher including the ethics of touch and ethical principles from Yoga Philosophy including avoiding harm (Ahimsa).

Students are taught engagement techniques that encourage diversity by respecting all students regardless of age, physical limitations, race, creed, gender, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation. We review all local government and national laws that pertain to Yoga teaching and business.
